3 things I liked about Diane Keaton:

1. Her work as Kay in The Godfather was so underrated.
2. I remember how gross the press tour was for Something's Gotta Give because she dared to be 60+ and sexy in a movie (meanwhile Nicholson...) She handled it with such class.
3. She embraced aging.

What’s crazy is this random senior girl at Boston Latin School in a frigid study period broke this down to me back in December 1987 while staving off chattering teeth. I was focused on this conversation. I’d never even seen “Annie Hall” at the time but I hung onto her every word.

Members of Congress should be on the streets of DC—where many of them live! —putting their bodies between these law-abiding citizens and ICE. Congress should be demanding names, and promising ICE will be prosecuted when US democracy is re-established.

But they are not—b/c they think it polls badly.

New — Video shared with me shows ICE officers in DC detaining a man on Friday.

Bystander filming asks man for his name. ICE agent lies and says he’s not allowed to speak to him “by law” and another says “We’ve arrested American citizens for being too close…If he gets any closer, put him in cuffs.”

ICE pepper-sprayed him, dragged him from his car, locked him in a detention center, and placed him on suicide watch. He even missed his young daughter’s birthday in the process.

ICE keeps telling and showing us that they'll arrest/detain/brutalize anyone anywhere for any reason (gripping a steering wheel too tight?), but a lot people still aren't convinced that such injustice done to one endangers all.

Wow. Greg Bovino admits on camera that his agents can detain people if you look scared, change your demeanor, or grip a steering wheel too tight.

As his unmasked agents walk around with large guns to scare you, they may arrest you just for that — even if you're a U.S. citizen.
