29 (I’m including DC!) plus two asterisk cases: AK (drove through, did stop for gas), NH (*think* I was there as a youngster but not sure)

My big gaps are the Plains, Mountain, and Southwest states and oddly enough, northern New England (lived in NJ for almost 30 years)

👍 I’d say the Detroit book is the strongest of the 3 as it deals with the break-up of the Supremes, John Sinclair and the Yippies, along with the riots. The Harlem book is relatively the weakest maybe because the music aspects of the books aren’t as focused or centralized as in the other two cities

Really too many to list but I’m a sucker for anything on music scenes/cities/communities and anything NYC art & music scene-wise in the 20th century so hmu if you’re looking for something in that vein

Absolutely loved this book (maybe you put it on my radar before?) It would be a huge task but I’d love to see someone try to make an anthology TV series (non-linear?) based on it.

Here are a couple of great multi-part examinations of Schnapp, his logos, and ad work

Thought the same thing! Was that how it appeared when you brought up the puzzle? I’m in the habit of shuffling as soon as I start because I suspect that they lay out some “traps” on the initial display of the tiles.

Could this have been casted better? I think not.

My mind is reeling at the idea of this Dikto Plastic Man story

Watched the Superman serials for the first time recently. Very much ymmv territory but I enjoyed them all in all.

Turns out Alyn grew up not far from my wife’s hometown and supposedly there’s a plaque for him in the city hall…so sorry for the side trip dear, next time we go visit family 🤷‍♂️

Got our flu and COVID booster shots today at CVS with no trouble. Spouse made the appointment, I believe there was only one generic Y/N question as far as health conditions went.

Fingers crossed that the after-effects are minimal but the schedule is cleared and I’ve got plenty of books just in case

Milwaukee Brewer Bar (1982-1982): In October of 1982, to celebrate their first (and to date only) league championship, the Brewers released a commemorative crispy rice milk chocolate bar. The bars were immensely popular, but unfortunately, Milwaukee lost the World Series to the Cardinals
A white and blue pinstriped candy bar wrapper. It has the old blue and yellow "mitt" Brewers logo, next to the words "Milwaukee Brewer Bar"

Oh, didn’t realize that Catwoman is Cooke, might have to get that out myself.

For me, the Compacts are great for travel (nice to not look at a screen sometimes) and at $10, I don’t mind the duplication

Just re-read it myself after I popped for the new Absolute Edition. In my Top 5 for sure. Then watched the animated version twice (once with Darwyn commentary) afterwards. And not ruling out buying the Compact version for an upcoming flight!
