And Matt Schultz just announced he's running for the House seat, which also suggests she's not running in that race.
There have been signs and rumors in that direction, but Tom Begich has said explicitly that he'll drop out if she gets in the race and he's shown no signs of doing so. He spoke at the Anchorage No Kings rally. I too hope she runs for Senate rather than Governor.
Yes, I think she will run (especially after she sees this poll!). The pattern of other Dems running suggests that this is the office she will go for.
Yes, they've been very accurate in recent cycles. This is a very interesting result!
I’m annoyed because it looked like an interesting article! Patience, though.
Pretty sure I learned about the AWS outage by being unable to access something on JSTOR. (They haven’t posted anything about the current outage that I’ve seen but have posted about previous ones.)
I have definitely seen review articles with a version of the third, called something like "Bibliography of Recent Literature" after the main "Works Cited" section.
Update: No Kings Anchorage was great and they won the game.
Multiple speakers have mentioned the flooding and blamed it on Trump. (Correctly!)
Signs at No Kings Anchorage.
No Kings Anchorage. The building in the background is the Egan Convention Center, one of the four shelter sites for evacuees from the flooded villages in western Alaska.
My wife drove by this earlier today and said it was huge. (Her dad is coaching in the state championship football game which is being held at Wasilla High.) I'm going to the one in Anchorage that starts in a few minutes.
I stopped over there on my lunch break and a lot of the booths had those signs posted, including many of the arts and crafts ones. That feels like a new development.
Judaism is very much not for everyone, but when it's for any particular person it's very very obvious.
I was once stuck in Wales for most of a week due to weather. Very interesting place but not a plausible site for a massive transportation infrastructure project.
Both, and so much more. Just getting to the American side of the strait requires flying in a small plane or helicopter, if the weather allows you to get through at all. Those villages (and they are very small villages even by Alaska standards) are routinely inaccessible for periods of days to weeks.
Especially funny is that on that map the tunnel on the US side goes *past* Wales to... where? Tin City? Brevig Mission? Nome is in that direction but it's quite a bit further away.
