We took a timelapse film of Huxley's Friday (9am-5pm).

He sure does spend a lot of time snoozing on the sofa! 🥱😴

"London reported the lowest number of homicides of under-25s for more than two decades. Overall, murders are at a five-year low, and the rate is much lower than in other international cities such as New York, Paris, Brussels, Berlin and Madrid" www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...
‘London has turned into something crazy’: is the city in the grip of a crime wave?
Perception of runaway crime partly blamed for ‘driving away the super-rich’ but in reality some high-profile offences such as watch theft are falling

When I saw this legally distinct half white half brown loaf, my brain auto played the words 'Though we are many...' #AnglicanProblems
The photo shows a Sainsbury's Both in One Bread, medium sliced loaf which retails in the UK for £0.75, on a kitchen counter top.

I literally wore a Sesame Street t-shirt yesterday (Cookie Monster) and wore a Fraggle Rock one today. They should do this. I'd wear that shirt.

I'll drop you an e-mail about it and some of the notes I've made on the manuscript side so far, which may be of use.

Thanks. If I manage to find it, I'll post it on my Archaeomedicus blog. I remembered it because I needed to check monastic medical texts for an article I'm writing - and I remembered writing a list of the common examples.

@hagenilda.bsky.social Did I mention this to you at the time (c. The Minor Brainpocalypse of 2022? )?

@winstonblack.bsky.social Have you by any chance produced something like this alongside 'Medicine and Healing in the Pre-modern West: A History in Documents'?

I should add that is a really important project and will make a big difference for research on Medieval medicine.
judeseal.bsky.social
Initially, I thought that's what it might be - but I clearly remember there being a couple of Old English texts. I wish I could recall more details. Unfortunately, I lost about three weeks of my memory when I had a stroke in 2022.

#Medievalsky At some point I remember having a handlist of early English / general European medical manuscripts and editions - but I cannot remember for the life of me if I found it somewhere or compiled it myself. (It was c.2022 - so my memory is a bit vague due to PhD stress) Any ideas? #medicine

Firstly there have been entire academic studies carried out on graffiti inside Canterbury Cathedral - www.balh.org.uk/blog-medieva... - which can tell us a lot about what the site has meant to people over time. Secondly, I am always wary of anyone who implies they speak for an entire social class.

Canterbury Cathedral was quite literally already full of graffiti - some of it dating back nearly a thousand years. So, from my view, this is actually continuing something that has already been happening and asking questions in an interesting way.
