Creativity is process… a series of often messy, wonky connections that suddenly coalesce into wonderful. Artists/ creatives are skilled in this process of unique originality. Because it’s not just seeking outcome.

This is a fundamental realisation that it took me years to come to.

The enjoyment of art comes from the countless hidden decisions that were made slowly, which you as an audience enjoy quickly.

The speed of consumption renders the craft invisible, magical.

Can’t find it now, but someone clarified my thinking on generative AI by saying it’s about the number of choices going into a creative work
Even a fine-tuned prompt involves orders of magnitude fewer choices vs writing a short story, painting a little picture, etc etc
The choices are the creativity
