Two years I've been after this shot 😆

(Proper photos tomorrow. Lady Aurora has made her dramatic entrance in the most amazing green and purple gown and I am going to be busy)

Boss, we’ve got a problem. Users don’t want this stuff! They keep wanting to turn it off, even when we keep turning it back on!

Please, no more movies/TV about tech that tells people their perfect partner, we have enough (AppleTV alone has at least two!)

Unexpected rabbit hole today is discovering that "Phwoar!" was first recorded by the dictionary in 1976, and 1972's Carry On Matron may be its first film appearance.

I thought I'd found an earlier 60s TV use, but it seems "Phwoar!" is firmly a 70s phenomenon.

Oct 12th 802701 - George Wells' time machine finally stops travelling forward. After saving Weena, and meeting the Eloi, he discovers the underground race known as Morlocks.

📽️📅 The Time Machine (1960)
3 Screenshots from the movie "The Time Machine" (1960): First, a close-up of the time machine's control panel with colorful dials and ornate detailing, indicating a time of October 12. Second, a scene with a man and a woman sitting on steps, engaged in a serious conversation with the subtitle "Twenty of your friends were watching you drown." Third, a group of Morlocks, creatures with pale skin and white hair, standing in a cave-like environment, exuding a menacing presence.

We did it! Thanks so much to everyone who came to the Union Chapel gig today (and watched at home!). We premiered our cartoon, got Bunny + Monkey on stage to draw each other, and thanks to audience suggestions we drew a comic about bums + toilet bushes.I also got to hang with Max, who dressed as me!

this is sociopathic behaviour and I think we need to treat it as such! just because something has become easy to do doesn't mean it has become less creepy, or more acceptable!

Asked lots about this piece on Chronic Lyme disease, and disappointed in the @guardian (a publication I both subscribe and contribute to) for running it. Short thread explaining the multitude of problems with it, and why I consider it irresponsible to run as is..🧵

The moment that always springs to mind is this from Godfather 2. The heartbreak and total fear she shows without saying a word. Just perfect. What a loss.

something quite brain-melting about the hard right's position apparently now being "we hate all Muslims and distrust Muslim states, aside from that one Muslim place that still has slavery because that sounds fun"

The appearance of tiresome meme images in 1% Guild submissions has reminded me how much I hate going through UGC trying to decide which pics are too annoying/racist/repetitive to let through (with hindsight I should’ve forced users to use webcam to take pic)

This has reminded me of a 90s Rice Krispies advert voiced by Craig Charles that pointed out each Rice Krispy was made from a single grain of crisped rice and ended with "what on earth did you think they were made of?"

Yeah it felt like season 2 would struggle but then it got there
I think a lot of clues were dropped about possible resolution of whole thing, but it really depends on how many more seasons they’re going to do

In my opinion it’s time to retire the Nobel prizes for fields where most of the important discoveries have already been made, like physics, and add prizes for newer fields where substantial innovations occur every year, like speedrunning

BUT HEY!

THAT'S JUST A Segway to remind you that the FNAF creator/this movie's screenwriter, Scott Cawthon, donates the money he makes from FNAF stuff to far right politicians, many of whom are currently trying to make things worse for everyone, specifically trans people. Don't support this film.
