It came to me like a dream

A redraw of a panel from a Haus of Decline Steven Universe comic, where Garnet says "I think we're gonna have to kill this guy, Steven," and Steven replies with "Damn". Here I have drawn Chibita and Nikki re-enacting the panel. Chibita is standing angrily, ready to punch someone, while Nikki is lost in thought with a dreamy smile on her face. Chibita is saying "I think we're gonna have to kill this guy, Nikki". She replies "I think... I've got the inspiration for another piece of the Wishful Aurosa outfit!". Chibita is a short, bald man with a single hair atop his head and three whiskers on each cheek. Nikki is taller than him, with her curly hair tied back into two half plaits. The rest is sprawling out behind her.

Okay I'm being silly, but there's a reason each book is sandwiched by a prologue and an epilogue that highlights the moment each character encounters Kring for the first time, almost as if they're the protagonist of the story and not their m-

It's so funny because Define Phoria: The Story is horrors beyond human comprehension and then the Define Phoria that only exists in my head post story is super happy fun times, two gay trans men living in harmony together

I really hope they're able to do everything they wanted to as well, and if it has been changed to be a series finale instead of a season finale I think I'll be happy with that. If it's been delayed because they wanna do more seasons though? Idk how I feel about that lol

I can praise the more serious episodes all I want but the core of the franchise is comedy, which just wasn't there at all. Tbh I think its a definite sign of the marketing team not communicating with the actual show's team, because it's clear Matsubara does care about Chibita but hasn't been-

I agree with you there, which is a shame because S3 felt rushed as well. I wish they were given more time to find their feet with the new director because I think that's part of why the season didn't come together (aside from Chibita's arc, I may be bias but that's the only part they got right lol)

Tbh I don't expect the episode to be released any time soon... They announced there's gonna be a conference in March about the future of the series, so I doubt we'll hear anything until then

Brand domination in the past and his lack of popularity as an adult aside, Chibita is and always will be one of Akatsuka's favourite characters, and it feels a bit weird to downplay that importance in what they kept emphasising was a special anniversary season. Maybe I'm just being picky tho, idk 😭

Maybe I'm just too Chibita brained but the entire situation just reads really weird to me tbh. You write one of the franchise's most popular characters out of the show with little more than a footnote then you delay the finale? Idk, something feels off to me
