A difficult life is not less worth living than a gentle one.
Joy is simply easier to carry than sorrow. And your heart could lift a city from how long you've spent holding what's been nearly impossible to hold.
This world needs those who know how to do that.
Those who could find a tunnel that has no light at the end of it, and hold it up like a telescope to know the darkness also contains truths that could bring the light to its knees.
Grief astronomer, adjust the lens, look close, tell us what you see.

It also addresses possible prescriber hesitations, such as that no patient who was already at a "normal" BMI became underweight as a result of the drug

(In the paper they discuss their suspicions that GLP-1 drugs are perhaps moreso "weight-normalizing" drugs than "weight-loss" drugs)

A small study, but it's from really reputable MCAS researcher-clinicians

GLP-1RAs may have substantial benefit in MCAS. Randomized controlled trials are needed to assess the efficacy, and identify optimal dosing, of GLP-1RA treatment in MCAS.

Yeah I have been going through it with my MCAS the past week, but luckily I have a call with my main dr in just a few mins to hopefully figure some things out to try!

anyway, back to sleep for a third time tonight and hoping my mast cells chill tf out and that I actually get some sleep before a 10a call with my doctor to figure out how to nip this week-long MCAS flare

(I briefly thought I was coming out of it this past weekend, but unfortunately not)

every once in while when I see a stranger melting down on here, I try to be nice in an effort to encourage them to pump the breaks

bc I have very limited energy I usually just block on sight, *liberally*

I know I've said it before but still: watching people put that much energy into being toxic is incomprehensible to me as someone with an energy-limiting illness

it's straight-up like watching someone light piles of money on fire

I envy all the other things they could be doing with that time/energy
