I'm tired of being told we are all doomed when I see cultural awakening all around me. Custodians are returning to thier waters. Entire families are camped out on thier Lands, far away from media view The Sovereigns are waging a quiet war on colonisation. Always Was, Always will be Aboriginal Land.

Seagrasses are great but this is false. Most carbon in the ocean is dissolved inorganic carbon and seagrass carbon is a tiny fraction of that. The mixing of stock and flux is also unhelpful. The only way to stop climate change is not burning fossil fuels.

reasonstobecheerful.world/seagrass-res...
Despite covering just Q.2 percent of the sea floor, seagrasses account for an estimated 10 percent of all the carbon stored by the world's oceans. They are also able to capture carbon from the atmosphere up to 35 times faster than tropical rainforests such as the Amazon.

Traditional owners have called on the Queensland environment minister to return an iconic saltwater crocodile to the wild, arguing his capture was a “wrongful arrest” – but that his case could prove “a landmark” in redefining consultation with First Nations people and the management of crocodiles.
Crocodile made famous by Steve Irwin ‘wrongfully arrested’ and should be returned to wild, traditional owners say
Exclusive: ‘Old Faithful’ was captured after Queensland authorities deemed him ‘a problem crocodile’, but an Aboriginal corporation says the government is mistaken

Guess which idiot is now seeking this induction pack under FOI?
davidpocock.bsky.social
The Albanese govt’s first term was the second most secretive on record.

Rather than changing their ways, they’re doubling down and tightening our FOI system to make it even harder to get information. Not a single expert or member of parliament outside of the Labor party has backed their new bill.

Anything less than leave it in the ground, stop burning fossil fuels will never be enough and that is the crux of the matter.

Climate warming's already amplifying hazards such as heatwaves, extreme rainfall, dangerous fire weather, droughts, floods, & sea-level rises & in turn multiplying threats & risks of compound events

🇦🇺's fossil fuel exports contribute accelerated pollution & CC impacts no matter where they're burned

While all eyes are on a 'ceasefire' the illegal apartheid state is still bombing and killing people somewhere in the Middle East. Wanton killing and carnage is their M.O.

CNN reports that Israel has refused to release two abducted Palestinian doctors, renowned pediatrician Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya and Dr. Marwan Al Hams, deliberately excluding them from the ceasefire and prisoner swap agreement.
A digital poster features two Palestinian doctors, Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya and Dr. Marwan Al-Hams, against a blurred background of destruction and smoke. Text at the top reads in bold yellow letters: “They are not coming home.” Below, in white and yellow text, it says: “Israel denies release of abducted Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya and Dr. Marwan Al-Hams in deal.” Both men appear serious—Dr. Abu Safiya in a white medical coat, and Dr. Al-Hams in dark clothing with a stethoscope around his neck.
