Hi New Followers 👋

You've made a wise choice. 👍

As well as posting silliness and hope for a better world I also write books (full of silliness and hope for a better world). Start with this free book of shorts written to introduce you to the #steampunk world of Hammersmyth.

mybook.to/hammersmyth2
Book Cover for The Hammersmith Tales (spelt with a y instead of an i). A beige background with shadowy images of cogs and clock faces. In the bottom right corner sits a grey cat wearing brass goggles and a green scarf. H elooks out at us with a lopsided grin. His tail is segmented with metal joints and his eyes have mechanical irises. The book's title is across the top in red and gold. Written in white below it says "A collection of steampunk shorts from the author of", then in yellow/gold "Dexter & Sinister Detecting Agents." Below that is the author's name in white, Keith W Dickinson.

The team here at Royal Cornwall Hospital have been fucking brilliant. Every one of them. Overworked and understaffed, they still do it with a smile, a kind word, a joke, and professionalism.

I'm begging every Brit (and anyone else living in a country with a similar system) to vote to protect it

Dr. Seuss went hard during WWII.
Lessons should have been learned.
A satirical comic drawn by Dr. Seuss with a train with a swastika on the front of the engine is barreling down the tracks, and a man in a jacket is sitting on the train tracks wearing an "America First" jacket trying to reassure Uncle Same that the train will turn off at a point labeled "Appeasement Junction" onto a far too small track and not run him over.

Pretending they didn't do special effects in an extremely special effects heavy movie.

Seriously, the effects are one of the few reasons to go see that pile of carp. Them and the soundtrack.

Director Joachim Rønning tells us why building practical, life-sized light cycles was important for ‘TRON: ARES’

“In the real world, everything needs to have a texture to it, it needs to be tangible. You need to be able to touch it.”

Also, it should be noted that I didn't sit down to write anything. I was just going to respond to a couple of emails, which I still have yet to do. 😏

“Concerns over an AI bubble bursting have grown lately, with analysts recently finding that it’s 17 times the size of the dotcom-era bubble and four times bigger than the 2008 financial crisis.”

Hang onto your butts. This “correction” is gonna hurt.

It also proves that when you think you're done for the day there's often a little more to be had. I just wanted to establish where we were before finishing for the night and ended up writing the above (and more) instead.

Bacon is what did it. Bacon, and eggs, and lashings of brown sauce. There wasn't a man alive who couldn't resist a good butty, and a man full of butty was putty in Euphemia McGillicuddy's hands.

She had staff for that sort of thing, of course she did, but when it comes to a man's stomach the personal touch went a long way. She hadn't bagged three husbands in thirty years through charm, wit, and youthful good looks.

1600 words earlier, and now another 825 on the current WIP, giving me a total of 54,820 and my favourite bit of writing for today:

Euphemia McGillicuddy was in the kitchen of her very large 'rather modest' home frying up a mass of bacon, ready for when he husband got home.

I saw a video on this. It was meant to land at Glasgow but couldn't because of the weather, flew around for a bit then tried again but failed, then it went to Edinburgh to try there, couldn't, then it flew down to Manchester.
