"It costs nothing to be kind!"

I'm sorry but what are you talking about, it's the most expensive and dangerous thing in the world. That's why people who remain kind in all circumstances are such heroes, they're giving of themselves and voluntarily making themselves vulnerable.
I think there's an important distinction between "I would like this rule changed" and "I would like to live in a universe where this EDH always allowed hybrid mana".
If you see this, post a vampire that isn't dracula, ah, ah, ah.

Why do so many so-called progressive accounts on here pollute everyone's timelines with Gen AI slop?
But... Noah and the Whale.
Just wait until after the bubble pops and Adam McKay wants to make a movie about you!
The slowness of Web 1.0 media is what I miss the most. The way the TWoP recaps dropped pretty much a full week after the episode, giving both the authors and the community much more time for constructive ruminating before Takes needed to exist.
Once you go Malt Vinegar for your French fries, you never go back. Credit to the Brits where it's due.
Which are able to just kind of cycle through the culture ad infinitum, because they promise an easier and broader set of rules to live/eat by than the unpleasant reality that most people mainly just need to eat less. And because there's always money to be made by peddling them.
Yeah, it is kinda the same kernel of usefulness wrapped up in different jargon, for sure (and I confess that as a single man I hadn't really grokked the gross tradwife undertones). I suspect these fads in dietary bogeymen follow the same sort of cycle as fad diets themselves...

There was a Superman reference of some sort in like, a majority of Seinfeld episodes. It seemed extremely niche at the time, for sure.

Actually the modern political landscape is just strewn with people like this who sort of careen through different identities looking for something that makes them feel less hollow, looking for something to believe in
I always come back around to pleasant-voiced Englishmen explaining the Simarillion.
I think there's a grain of truth to it, but it's much less to do with the "ultraprocessing" itself, but more from the resultant hyper-palatability. The scientifically engineered cravability of Haribo and Doritos et. al. make it fairly near impossible for many to keep from overindulging.
More the latter. But not least because learning to tolerate the latter feels like it'd be the first step towards the former.
I tried that, but all the gambling ads started stressing me out, so now I'm on a "watching people play board games on YouTube" kick.

folks is it good when your AWS bill is 100% of your estimated revenue
Exclusive: Anthropic spent $2.66 billion on Amazon Web Services in the first three quarters of 2025, around 100% of their estimated revenue. Its costs appear to increase with their revenue, showing little path to profitability.
