Sometimes people will act like the only thing that makes a complex villain complex is having a tragic backstory, and the more tragic their backstory the more complex they are, which I think is a bit silly because tragedy and complexity aren't necessarily the same thing

Metalder is one of the greatest toku shows of all time, especially that ending

yeah, but sometimes when a toku argument gets too big random anime fans will start forcing themselves into the argument and that's when it becomes truly a fully lost cause

A lot of the time to deflect these criticisms fans will essentially call critics hysterical women or some variation

Toku fandom (or really any fandom, it's not really a toku exclusive thing) is already bad at handling any criticism of shows they like and they get 10 times worse if that criticism is even mildly about misogyny

I've been too distracted by trying to figure out Hayato's age to have any in depth thoughts about him tbh. My assumption is 13 or 14

And also from slight spoiler knowledge I'm pretty sure Sayla used to have a much more privileged life before everything went to shit which is why I think she seems kinder to Amuro than some other characters are, she's been in the same place as Amuro (and probably at a similar age)

It also makes his dynamic with Sayla very interesting because while Kai was clearly less privileged than Amuro he definitely had an easier life than Sayla who hates his laidback attitude, probably because if she acted the same way she would've ended up dead

I get the impression that Kai had a tougher life before all this than Amuro did and Amuro also gets thrust into an even more high pressure role than Kai and those two things combined make a big difference

I may make comments about Kai having problems but at least he has some kind of somewhat effective coping mechanism for all the shit he goes through that he seemed to have even before boarding the White Base, Amuro didn't at all and it really shows

I agree they should cast actual voice actors but also why would they cast a youtuber who has been retired for over a year to appeal to the younger audience when there are much bigger youtubers still currently making fnaf videos, he's there to appeal to the nostalgia of late teens and young adults

what? It's Mat Pat, it's not like he's some random youtuber, he's most well known for making fnaf videos that date back to nearly 11 years ago and he doesn't even make videos anymore, this isn't (primarily) to appeal to children, it's to appeal to people who were children when fnaf first released

He definitely spent half his time in school on coolmath games

Kai's willingness to help when it's needed but refusal to ever stop complaining about it and being a little shit 99% of the time is kinda relatable

What is his problem

I like Peacemaker season 2 but tbh it feels more like the first half of a season than an actual full season itself, they gotta stop giving these streaming shows only 8 episodes per season

If you are willing to throw away entire groups of people to protect your insular strategy that will only protect you instead of protecting everyone then I don’t want your leaders and I sure as hell don’t want to be associated with you.
