Every year i do a headcount of how many black students I’ve had in my classes. My average is usually between 60-80 kids a quarter and I’ve never once hit two digits

Ive only ever had 1… maybe 2-3 tops immediate black coworkers who were women at the assorted jobs ive had (and only 1 ever in teaching comics).

The article mentions that they brought up the Brooke Shields underage ads. I had heard and read that happened with Shields ( through stuff about 70’s movies, wasn’t looking) but I didn’t see them til SVA where they were played several times in classes so maybe there were signs
