they also really don't like being confronted with the question of where they draw the line. Once they sacrifice trans people, do they also sacrifice cis queers? Homeless people (free space on the bingo card)? Muslims and Jews? Black folks?

Purity tests as a term initially meant that people were arguing over specific semantics. Now it's been co-opted like the term "woke".

We don't have to throw trans people under the bus in order to save this country. We can find another candidate.

Also, the way to not "die on that hill" is to be united. These folks who want to jettison trans folks, immigrants, Black folks, etc. are so short sighted they think it'd be a victory to die a couple steps later, when choosing solidarity is actually choosing to not die at all

I hate to say it but the majority of the country is not going to die on the hill of trans rights. We can’t protect ANY groups if we can’t win a national election, so purity tests only serve to make specific groups feel triumphant. That’s not “erasing” them; it’s long-horizon strategy.

And like, it won't work. The GOP called fuckin' BIDEN a radical communist, they ran ads saying "She's for They/Them" about Harris. Obama was 'tough on the boarder' to try and get the GOP to like him and they STILL hated him.

This isn’t a purity test, it’s basic human decency.

Same thing they did with chemical processing plants, and waste disposal in it an neighborhoods. Hmthey seek out poor black folks because people will listen to them the least. Poor people are always a target, but black and poor makes you more expendable to the rich.

So why be so eager and secretive to put this in a black neighborhood that nobody wants to fix up or help? The only thing in Bessemer is the waterpark that barely anybody goes to except for the summer so make it make sense

Those three cities have a known history of taking stuff from Birmingham or outright separating themselves wholesale from the blacker parts of the city wholesale
