Ok, but this guy started as a DnD build, and after translating him i to multiple TTRPG systems, fleshing out his backstory, changing him into so many other worlds and universes, I now have a unique world for Grimmshadow’s story, and it’s even absorbing other characters of mind into a huge world!

The character sheet for Grimmshadow, he is wearing a purple cloak and is in a few different poses and faces. He has yellow eyes and smile that are vibrant from under his hood. Sometimes his buff fur is seen. He carries a bone spear and knife in a few poses.

I’m sure it’s just a coincidence that all these data centers are going into communities that have been historically targeted for exploitation and have the least amount of civic power wielded by the people living there.

One of the more profound things I’ve heard recently came from a Mr. Rogers documentary. In a clip from his show, Mr. Rogers had just visited with a musician, and tells his audience that some people play music, and some people don’t, and that’s okay.

And then he said, “The important thing is to find something you feel good about doing.”

That phrasing struck me. “Something you feel good about doing”. Most people would have phrased it as “something you enjoy doing”. Or “something you’re good at doing”. But Mr. Rogers’ subtly different phrasing leads to a profoundly different connotation. “Something you feel good about doing” may not be enjoyable–people who work in hospitals or in disaster zones might not enjoy much of their day, but they probably feel good about helping people. “Something you feel good about doing“ may not be something you’re particularly good at–you may be a terrible artist by any objective standard, but if you feel good about making your art, then it’s a worthwhile endeavor. Looking for “something you feel good about doing” can help you find a truly satisfying life path.

That phrase is also helpful with daily decision-making. Too often, I can make choices based on “what feels good.” I put aside tasks that are too stressful or avoid activities that seem too difficult, in favor of mindlessly browsing the internet. And I enjoy myself. I feel good while I’m doing that. But at the end of the day, I don’t feel good about how I spent my time. However, reminding myself to do “something I feel good about doing” can motivate me to accomplish those more difficult tasks. It can push me to do something outside of my comfort zone, to try something new that I might not be much good at. And maybe this is a blindingly obvious philosophy to everyone else. But I’m grateful for the reminder.

And like, it won't work. The GOP called fuckin' BIDEN a radical communist, they ran ads saying "She's for They/Them" about Harris. Obama was 'tough on the boarder' to try and get the GOP to like him and they STILL hated him.

Compromising on other people's rights just won't work. They'll just lie.

Harris said maybe once that she would support the law on trans people, she didn't even say "trans rights," but Trump's team still ran a whole set of campaigns saying that "She's for They/Them."

There is no compromise that you can make they won't just lie about.

It won't save you to compromise on this. They'll use it as an excuse to remove more rights from more people. Dems being "tough on the boarder" didn't get them to stop lying about Obama, Biden, or Harris. They'll still lie and call you trans loving communists, even if you don't advocate for them.

I hate to say it but the majority of the country is not going to die on the hill of trans rights. We can’t protect ANY groups if we can’t win a national election, so purity tests only serve to make specific groups feel triumphant. That’s not “erasing” them; it’s long-horizon strategy.
