Bill Nye shilled for a fraudulent solar power pump n dump investment scheme in the mid 10s fyi

as in showing up on videos advertised to Facebook users for private placement shares into a scam

never have heros
If we have to build our government out of quirky celebrities from now on we could do a lot worse than Bill Nye.

I'm always saying it's a *big* problem that properly encasing wells and reporting oil spills is considered Haram per the wise words of the eternal prophet
A prominent Texas Republican is running for Railroad Commission in order to fight the "Islamic invasion." He's vying for a seat vacated by a former commissioner, who is now running for Texas Comptroller on a vow to protect girls' sports.

The latest on Texas' (increasingly Islamophobic) primaries:

Tarrant County GOP chair Bo French, known for his incendiary online presence, recently tendered his resignation to seek a position on the regulatory body that oversees the oil-and-gas industry.

It would have to be someone with the name like Gabs Pennsington
If Thomas Pynchon finally gave an interview at age 88, who would be the ideal interviewer? Somehow it would make sense if it was Letterman. Two wiseass American icons, one a TV legend and the other a legendary TV addict

Edgelord leftists who think all forms of commerce are capitalism and thus must be smashed should take their own advice and read theory lol
We’re not small business owners, ffs - we’re independent contractors, and we are routinely robbed by the world’s dumbest dingbats.

People under the age of 30 truly don't understand how much of a nightmare ordering a taxi was in any city that wasn't NYC. Uber's UI and confirmation layers were and are an incredible benefit. The cars/drivers themselves were where the true ugliness came from but the app was revolutionary
This isn’t just an Atlanta thing — if you needed a taxi in San Francisco on a Friday night in the mid-2000’s you couldn’t get one. There were two phone numbers you could call and you’d mostly get a busy signal.
Anyone in ATL in the late 90s/early 2000s who waited on a taxi to arrive will understand the productivity benefits, even if tangentially related, that ride share and Waymo have provided. Had a friend who would call a wrecker instead of a taxi b/c it was faster, cheaper, and you had your car in AM. 😂

This is so patently unamerican I don't even have words for it. A majority of people in this administration should be locked up for life
“After Ferreira was detained, Dos Santos Rodrigues said Michael Leavitt Sr. and his father, Bob Leavitt, reached out to her.”

“‘They just kept saying, ‘Tell her to self-deport,’” she recalled. “Self-deport to where? Brazil is not her home.’” www.bostonglobe.com/2025/11/26/m...

Don’t forget to celebrate in the traditional way by going to your hometown bar to meet up with old high school friends and make some bad life choices

Is this platform still massively against AI or has it moved more towards acceptance?

It’s difficult to contextualize this properly, but: to say Archer is the Tesla of air taxis would be an unwarranted insult to both Tesla and air taxis. These guys are the Nikola of air taxis, which as an industry is basically the preclinical Alzheimer’s treatment of the aerospace sector.
