One of the most atmospheric games I’ve played recently is Metal Garden, a short FPS with a very unique feel.
The gigantic structures make me think of Ico, with a more industrial twist.
And it’s unapologetically gray.

right - show up and fight like hell for what you believe in. If it's not enough then at least you built some capacity to try again and reach further. (from my pov i mean about workplace organizing but really, about everything)
I would just add an analogous lesson in the arena of elections for public office:

It is not losing elections that, in themselves, constitutes failure; it is reproducing the cultural norm of treating those losses as a basis for demoralization, demobilization, and not trying again that's the failure.
We also cannot be afraid to lose union elections. In fact, we cannot be afraid to lose on a larger scale. It is far better to fight and lose than to not fight at all. In fact, the insistence on running union elections only if we will win is contributing to our slow death.

Fans mourning Bud Cort might be interested to know there is a new book, "Held Over: Harold and Maude at The Westgate Theater,” about the film’s 115-week run at the Minneapolis-area cinema in 1972-74.

That time ‘Harold and Maude’ ran at Edina theater so long that people picketed
Local nonfiction: Minneapolis writer John Gaspard, who was an usher at the Edina venue, wrote a book about the historic run.

we know this, but a reminder: anytime ICE CBP etc says they’re drawing down their presence in a city, it’s bullshit. whatever their numbers, lawless federal agents remain behind & still cause havoc & kidnap people. Also relocated agents just go somewhere else to destroy lives. Abolish ICE end DHS

Found an additional graphic that gets even more of these quotes together.

I've kept "I hate myself, I hate clover, and I hate bees" pinned above my desk since I first started studying evolutionary biology as an undergraduate. So relatable to get extremely frustrated with your study system.

Ending this operation is not enough.

We need justice and accountability. That starts with independent investigations into the murders of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, economic restitution for businesses impacted, abolishing ICE, and the impeachment of Kristi Noem.
