didn't actually finish my Stellaris game today but did kind of get it to the point where my victory is a foregone conclusion. We'll see if I actually see it through lol. Robots have been a really fun playthrough though, very different strategic context from my usual Human playthroughs.

I'm not sure how I want to close this game out. I have one more Tradition to pick, two more Ascension Perks. I could pick Defender of the Galaxy and maybe beat The Crisis™ when it appears... but I could also Become The Crisis in a couple interesting ways. I've never done that before.

been thinking a lot lately about the idea of "noise in the shape of signal". Where Discerning is Expensive, and something can be noise or signal based on what it intends to and succeeds at communicating, and how as humans we develop shorthand for patterns we look for to discern signal from noise.
