An ICE supervisor once told me, a pro bono atty, that my client would not be released because I hadn't submitted the originals of documents required for him to be released. I asked him what rule or reg required an original-he responded that my client would be released that pm. ICE lies all the time

👍 It takes like 30 minutes for a good fitting. You have assistants who can arrange all of it. You can fly the tailor to wherever you are if your time is that precious.

Once you have one jacket, pants, shirt locked in, new ones will fit extremely well without any adjustment.

That always reminds me of one of the most messed up kids in any of my units (couldn't put my finger on it then, but realized later he might've been an actual psychopath). His demining method around villages in Kosovo was throwing firewood randomly around the yards.

I didn't quite buy the 65yo "marine" colonel, but Sean Penn absolutely nailed a certain type of military officer - especially the weirdness of the recently-retired combat arms guy.

Yesterday I was told that the class I’m scheduled to teach this month, Confronting Oppression & Injustice, is no longer part of our curriculum. This is a required class yet there was no discussion, no faculty vote, just an email saying the class no longer exists. This is what it’s like in Texas now.

Def not a "one weird trick", but lengthening statutes of limitations, providing broader causes of action, expanding individual criminal penalties for this sort of stuff really should've happened after Trump 1
