I used to have a “theme” each season (Golden Age Explorers, Whisky Brands, Presidents, etc) and would change my team name after each loss. Due to laziness (and lack of good theme ideas) I haven’t done that recently. No matter which way, my team always flames out spectacularly in the playoffs.
The Trump Administration’s “Compact of Excellence” for Universities is... far from excellent! Indeed, it’s unconstitutional. In this post, let me count the ways.
This is such a key point. Ignoring what was “in his heart” when saying this, so so many people do believe that they are showing love to their neighbors BY spewing this hate. Churches teaching that are an enormous problem.
How else would we know that it’s important for the team to “keep up their intensity” or that they “have to make sure they play hard through all four quarters?”
… that was what I was going for, but obviously my sarcasm didn’t come through clearly. Obviously I’ll never be a writer for an Emmy winning show like Late Night! Wait…
Last I checked, there also is a segment called “Surprise Inspections” which hits the writers of the show, not Trump … though word on the street is such writers never watch the show so they wouldn’t know.
I really don’t get why people are like this? I think a very reasonable LOW bar to expect from any democratic politician should at least be “I will not engage with those offering bad faith attacks against my fellow citizens, who are simply trying to live their lives in peace.” How hard is that!?
I mean I know logic doesn’t really apply to current SCOTUS, but even in that scenario, then Obama could be the candidate against him right? How would a case be made that it’s “ok” to have three terms but only if you don’t already have two consecutive?
I don’t get the framing “devotees” but I’m also a weirdo who thinks the wrong calls are actually the “right” ones sometimes (i.e. on 3-0 or 0-2 counts) and yes I know this is probably a bad take but I will own it.
Ignoring the bad policy plan, this chart makes a lot of sense to me in the current environment. For students with the same test scores you would weight inversely with income as those with higher income have more opportunities. Then the crazy peak is due to universities seeking out donations
