I testified Friday before Gov. Pritzker's commission studying abuses of ICE and CBP and tried to explain how the agencies went so far off track. It's actually way worse than I ever realized. Please read and share my testimony as Congress considers reform: www.doomsdayscenario.co/p/accountabi...
Accountability for ICE and CBP
However bad you think the corruption and misconduct at ICE and CBP is — the reality is far far worse.

Also, may I say that I don’t agree with people saying ICE and CBP need “more training.” They’re doing exactly what this administration has trained them to—impose a reign of fear in blue cities. They don’t need more training. They need to be ripped up root and branch.

There’s obvious overlap in thinking since I’ve been reading his work for so long but @mikeaxisa.bsky.social gets the HOF ballot spot on in my humble opinion. Excellent as always.

It’s totally fine that umpires expand the zone on 3-0 counts and shrink the zone on 0-2 counts.

u heard sharon, everyone post about their esoteric interests right fucking now. for the good of the community, we need to be hyperfixationmaxxing.
i think this site really needs to figure out how to grow the non-politics verticals (the baseball moment was a good thing!) because i suspect a lot of the bad clusters come out of the political clusters driving 95% of ENG-lang posts

there is zero chance the Yankees failed to turn a profit in any year, but especially in 2025 when they were coming off a World Series appearance. If an MLB owner says he lost money, that's like me saying I can fly. You should insist on proof.

(I can't fly, just so no one asks me to demonstrate.)

My take on the Judge MVP is that either WAR matters or it doesn’t. It does. He’s the best. So he was the deserving winner. (No shade on Cal). That is all.

What, if anything, did the No Kings protests accomplish?

I've seen that pop up in everything from genuine inquiry to sneering dismissal. For anyone asking or facing that question, here's an answer.

Everything isn't all fixed, of course. But the protests accomplished at least these seven things:

Not an original thought, but one I keep coming back to on yesterdays #NoKings: Imagine sucking so bad that millions of the most normie Americans take time out of their weekend to come out en masse to exclaim how much you suck.
