"But why did you call your podcast Bowler Brim, Kei?"
Caption, sometimes a hat is just a hat. Sometimes it isn't.
A series of pictures show different people wearing bowler hats: Charlie Chaplin, Laurel & Hardy, Alfred Hitchcock, Julie Andrews, the Children of Men painting, Malcolm McDowell, John Cleese, and Cary Grant. Each of them are wearing it a different way and conveying different characters.

I feel that way all the time, no matter to whom I'm attracted. Like I'm scared.

IDK what alternative ideas there were for the next show, when Voyager was in development, but it seemed obvious that they were batting ideas around for different weird alien races to encounter, but none of the designs were that distinct, really, from some Doctor Who aliens.

But everyone admits the Kazon were just diet Klingons, even starting and ending with the same letters.
I was glad they changed adversaries as the ship travelled, and some storylines got to be better than average, like the Year of Hell basically a Moby Dick or Tempest storyline.

Instead of saucer separation, Voyager's gimmick was that it could land & the nacelles moved for reason.
For warp drive, the nacelle position was never relevant, which is why the Defiant's nacelles were built into the saucer, not sticking out far from the hull.
They had some original ideas.

I get that they were trying new ideas: a Maquis crew filling out the ranks, an alien trader as advisor & diplomat, a doctor who's artificial but not like Data.
I've no complaints about Robert Picardo or Kate Mulgrew, top tier talent. But the show was kind of hokey, trying to redo TNG.

The whole premise of Star Trek Voyager kind of annoys me, because the "lost in space" thing has been done from Space 1999 to the actual show Lost in Space.
Why would you send a ship with less than a skeleton crew on a mission? Because Tuvok? You send a fully crewed ship & meet up at Deep Space Nine.

I was only supposed to be a little fruity?
I overshot.
A woman with a very curvaceous body is shown in a tube top, booty shorts, and thigh high socks, next to a little, sparkling yellow puppy.
The puppy is labeled "me" and the woman is labelled "the bad bitch I pulled by being a lil fruity."

Another lady forgot a whole bag of goods. It's one reason I don't like self-checkouts.
I would have reminded the lady about her bag, but I can't do everything. She was already out the door. I just did my best, like we all do. Helped a pupper relax & that was good.

A while back, I was at the store and there was a lady with a service animal who was very nervous. Doggo was barking and jumping at anyone who came too near. I spoke gentle to baby, and they calmed down a little.
Their human almost forgot their receipt at self checkout, but I got her to collect it.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: heaven protect us from mediocre men who think they're funny.

Hot take: 28 Weeks Later is better than 28 Days Later.
I get why people like the first one, and you'd need to have it to get the sequel, but it's not as good as the sequel, which I think tells a better story.
Keep in mind, I value suspense & plot over jumpscares.

Ironically, the Roger Corman Carnosaur series was shaped by both.

I say "We didn't learn." but we were also taught a fraction of the story, in truth.
The rise of the Populist party in many of the great plains states, alone, shifted major trends of the gilded age, leading to the two parties flipping their stances by the 1920s.

She doesn't have to be Goth, but a whole lot of eggs hatch. God, I looked good that night.

I think we should make transition so easy that a person can just present differently based on their mood or the occasion, and still be appreciated and validated, instead of insisting that all things be so rigid that implying someone is a different gender is somehow insulting.

A fun size piece of candy is an ounce, but a fun size bag of baby carrots is a pound. I accept that the definitions are different here, based on the respective products, but the disparity is what confuses me.
Anyway, I've got plenty of dip for the carrots, so I'm just ducky.

TMW you went to a queer clothing swap as your birthday "shopping spree" and you snagged a cowl-neck poncho, and not only does it fit well, but you look cool in it.
