My spouse has been unemployed/freelancing since April, and we’ve remarked that he’s worked harder/been busier than when he had a job. Job searching & networking, elder care, volunteering with local arts orgs, house & pet care, etc. It’s all labor.

A funny thing about SF is how much the geography obscures how close things actually are. Mentally, I think the Mission is so far away, but tonight I did a 2.3 mile/17 minute BayWheels ride home from a new speakeasy there.

We have a check in hand but we can’t deposit it until we send it to the mortgage company for their signature and they send it back where hopefully the mobile deposit will go through because there isn’t a bank branch in this entire state.

People change gender for lots of reasons and lots of ways, and it should be protected because of freedom of expression, freedom of conscience, and the right to bodily autonomy. "They were born that way" is not the only reason we protect minority classes

It gets so much easier once the first cleaning in a while is over. My insurance pays for 3 cleanings a year, and now they’re so much less stressful than the one that was after *mumble mumble* years of not going.
