The last two phrases of the first Amendment are just as important as the others.

The people have the right to peaceably assemble. History has shown that tyrants will put enforcers out to confront protesters and attack at the least provocation. Too often, the provocation is done by planted agents.

Yes. We need to assert our right to peacefully protest.

As much as they would like to, disbursing (and arresting) protestors without a valid public safety concern is not defensible.
