Just got my hands on this fantastic new book on #Charophytes of Europe and excited to see the most westerly dot on the distribution map of #Tolypella nidifica was from a snorkel survey i carried out on the Outer Hebrides of Scotland - over 20 years ago 😬

One of the people fired from NOAA today is the director of the Ocean Acidification Program. That program also leads the U.S. government's effort on marine carbon dioxide removal (mCDR). The destruction of American science is incomprehensible.
