This is what I came here for. Its not a cheap book so I was already planning to wait for the paperback. I think the library might be a better option.

Not mad busy so I’m going to do some detailed pencil sketches. First one! JOhn Constantine!
Pencil drawing of John Constantine. A ma looking tired with a cigarette hanging from his mouth. Unshaded with spiked hair and a single earring.

I know comparing your art to other artists isn't as complimentary as I think it is, but I see a lot of Cam Kennedy in this - early BATTLE Cam Kennedy; Fighting Mann/Clash Of The Guards Cam.

I've seen a few videos lately of Right Wingers pronouncing it "An-teef-ah" (rhymes with Antigua) and wondered if it was a way to camouflage it's meaning from their base and the wider public who might not know what AntiFa actually means...

I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.

YES. My perfect werewolf is a Steve Dillon werewolf, and that movie is closest

SUCH an underrated movie that

Diane Keaton was best know for her comedy performances, rightly, she was brilliant, but if you've never seen her in LOOKING FOR MR. GOOD BAR you should, she's phenomenal.

That last one kinda looks like Gray Morrow

Yeah, another good example.

I think that's kinda the general popular feeling.
As it is its now like TAGGART after Mark McManus died - it carries on, and no one really minds that it makes no sense, its just the label to tell these stories under.

Its entirely down to your mileage I guess. He's super restrained in this, no real gimmicks or quirks, he plays it very straight. Like I say, I'm not a fan, but he's fine.
Be aware though, he IS the male lead so he's in almost every scene.

Is TRON the only eponymously titled franchise in which that character doesn't actually appear?

Also, TRON always feels to me like a movie series based on a comicbook series, based on a toy line. Kinda wild that it wasn't created by Bill Mantlo somehow...
leegrice.bsky.social
I will say your mileage with Jared Leto will be a factor too, though I'm not a fan I thought he was fine, and there is a good plot reason why everything's red in this one.

Went to see TRON: ARES today - really enjoyed it, no masterpiece but it looks and sounds great, and pulls a few nice surprises. A little bit of fan service, but not too much, and mostly tells a brand new story - if you liked TRON, LEGACY, and UPRISING, you should like it; if you didn't you won't

One page per hour, 15 minutes on each stage, doddle 👌🏻

I found out recently that the 80s indie comic publisher Comico is pronounced "Ker-meek-oh" not "Comic-oh" - like I BEG YOUR PARDON? They're a COMIC publisher and they're called COMICO but the "comic" in "Comico" isn't pronounced "comic" its pronounced "kermeek"???

"Antifa are coming for us!"
"Why would they do that?"
"They hate us!"
"Why? Who are they anti?"
"..............us"
"No but who? What's the 'fa' in Antifa mean?"
".................."
"...?"
"Antifa are coming for us! They're terrorists!"

I assume it's an American thing. The only time I've heard it pronounced "primmer" was in the movie CONTACT
leegrice.bsky.social
I assume it's a reference to Close Encounters rather than ET, cos ET came out a few years later

Ever since TPTV announced they'd be repeating Eurotrash I've been earwormed by the theme music.
