Genuinely think if we're going to continue to have access to ai chat, we need to be licensed to use it. This shit is insidious and deadly.
This is the tech companies playbook - First comes the increasing user base, and then we will see ads on ChatGPT. But ChatGPT and other AI chatbots are not like Meta and Google ->

In self-interest but also general interest, folks: Black Friday is coming up, and small publishers/independent creators will always be a better choice than megacorps.

When the sales drop, please remember that!

That’s the most Chris Achilleos that ship has ever looked to me!
Ron Cobb said that the special effects department got sick of waiting for a decision on the Nostromo and they just went in to the studio and grabbed drawings. The picture they used had the ship coloured yellow, so that's what they did.

It was resprayed but it would have been interesting.

I saw a video showing some pages for a book on inking but the persons video didn’t say what the book was. So now I need your help. Here’s some screen grabs. It looks like a reprint of an old book (and god knows I may even own a copy already!)

As well as doing a show later today, I'm sneaking in to a Character Improv class, so that should be fun.

There’s a generation coming that are going to reject the digital age and that’s partly why they want LLMs in classrooms.

Cannot praise Oink! high enough. Ridiculous, clever, brutally violent and consistently hilarious, and all for kids 💪
OINK! (1986): Brilliantly subversive kid's comic which featured strips from Charlie Brooker, Tony Husband, Frank Sidebottom, and Marc 'Lard' Riley. Caused a proper stink at the time; WH Smith eventually moved it to the top shelf!

If you're buying gifts for the holidays, maybe consider supporting artists, writers, creators. Gift someone a Patreon, commission an art piece, buy a book, purchase handmade jewelry, etc. Your support means everything.

I have gone back and watched episode one of Pluribus and man in such a sucker for last human being post apocalyptic thing.

Told this story before. But man I was so excited to tell people about the Babylon chapter (arrival is about language so Tower of babel chapter? Makes a sort of sense) (also the book I bought was called arrival because they renamed the book for the film “now a major motion picture”)
I loved the movie arrival so much I immediately went out and bought the book. When I read the first chapter set in ancient Babylon I thought “wow they really cut a lot out of this movie, but this is really interesting” only to realise it was a collection of short stories. Arrival being one of them

When I listened to the audiobook of Steve Martin’s autobiography, I felt his choice to display his life in a non-linear fashion was fascinating.

Then I discovered that my MP3 player was on “shuffle”.
Accidentally started watching Pluribis from episode 4 and was greatly admiring that it didn’t fuck around and got straight to it then towards the end I thought “wait when do they flashback to the whole setup” then checked and thought “balls” so now in two minds on whether to watch the first three.
