I'm in a tiny minority of people who liked The Village. I think the biggest blunder there was that it was marketed as a horror movie, which really isn't what it is at all, and people went into it expecting something entirely different than what they got

and honestly I think the twist overshadowed the acting clinic the cast was putting in. Haley Joel Osment was wildly good for being, what, 10 years old during filming? Bruce Willis was doing some of the best work of his career. Toni freaking Collette. fantastic performances

not super wild about the bulk of M. Night Shymalan's work but The Sixth Sense really holds up. even though everyone on Earth knows the twist through cultural osmosis, it's fun to revisit it just to see how the movie was constructed to trick us the first time around

I was 18 when I saw The Exorcist for the first (and only) time and I slept on the couch outside my parents' room for the next three nights. I've seen a lot of ghost movies that make me uneasy but that demon stuff legit terrifies me

I have never watched a minute of that 9-1-1 show and it's a virtual lock that I never will but every time I see an ad for it I am flabbergasted, it is doing the MOST, why are they in SPACE is this not a show about first responders?
