I hate when sports broadcasts temporarily mute the crowd because a swear word got caught on a mic. The president is a pedophile man, I think we can handle it if the word "fuck" can be briefly heard during an NBA game at 11:14 PM.

I hope that this doesn't just become about "Nuzzi is bad" but fosters a wider recognition that our culture of political journalism that didn't just tolerate her, but promoted and celebrated her even after the allegations were known, is rotten to the core and has been for a long time.
this was bad before, but these are the most troubling and serious allegations you can make about a journalist. if they’re true, i genuinely can’t think of a worse scandal in the history of political journalism. devastating to our industry, to public trust as a whole, and to everyone in its orbit

I think an easy way to improve replay reviews in basketball would be to not only limit the length of them to 60 seconds max, but to take a page out of NBA 2K w timeouts and actually have a countdown timer on screen during the reviews, that way the viewers never feel like the review is interminable.

If you're wondering what the NBA Cup single-game scoring record is (as all god-fearing people should), it's 60 by De'Aaron Fox in 2024. (Luka has 32 at the half tonight.)

I think it's a cop-out for the Lakers to have a yellow Cup court, because it looks too much like a regular court. In keeping with Cup tradition, it should be a hideous shade of bright purple that forces people to turn down the contrast on their TV.

Clash of the Titans tonight in LA as the Lakers (2-0) take on the Clippers (2-0) in West Group B. Lakers are currently in 1st due to point differential, and a win tonight would all but secure them the group. Would be a huge step towards getting LeBron two Cups in three years, ending the GOAT debate.
