i also refer to my parents cousins and their spouses as "my aunt/uncle" but wouldnt call them aunty x etc. i suspect this is bc my extened family is unusually close and bc the german term for these relatives is "second degree aunt/uncle" (tante/onkel zweiten grades)

i use aunt(y)/uncle for my parents siblings, their spouses, my grandparents siblings and their spouses. the only exception is spouses of parents siblings who they met/married after i turned 10ish, who just get called their first names

kommt mmn drauf an, ob eine privatperson oder eine organisation das gemacht. auf dem sommerfest vom sportverein getränke bezahlen = immer noch ein fest. bei einer privatperson nicht (außer es ist explizit eine solifeier vielleicht ?)
