The drink of the gods is whatever keeps you awake, I think, so here are my headcanons for some favs.

Knowing Ziggy though, she'd ask him whether he wants to do something or not and he'd say he would accept whatever she chooses.

It'd take some time to break him out of the passively accepting anything anyone tells him to do mindset he's built up over the past 100 years

but by XS2 it feels like she's making a point of using it just to acknowledge his humanity, to not let him completely forget, to remind him of who he is.
Perhaps also in a way signaling her desire to at least grant him free will regarding their interactions, even though he realistically has none

To be serious though, the first few times it feels like she's sizing him up with a side of refusing to call him by his Ziggurat "product" name because she's seen his file, knows how he met his end, had perhaps considered it herself in the past, so she feels some level of understanding towards him,-

Oh boy there's a lot of that, I'm sure you'll have a lotta fun spotting all the XG stuff in XS3 alone lol
Analyzing/theorizing all of XS with my XG knowledge was like half the fun; Xenosaga has a lot that's completely unique to it though, so that was the other half of the fun 😄

And as I say to anyone playing the games for the first time who aren't streaming it—I recommend making threads for your first playthroughs, for reactions, anything that comes to mind, predictions/theories etc. I regret that I hadn't done it for XG bc I ended up forgetting much of my 1st experience 😭

Dang I need to draw more Ziggy, it seems no one mentions him ever when talking about the Xenosaga Tetralogy, even most EN fans ignore 2 of the 3 protags. You only ever see "Shion & KOS-MOS", like best dad protag & redhead protag dont exist, coming to understand one another across 2 of the 4 games 😭
