The U.S. is not just for highly intelligent nerds. It’s for everyone who wants a better life. 🇺🇸
If case law ever included any sort of rule to the effect that a Presidential decision regarding tariffs, or anything else for that matter, will be presumed to be rational, then Trump’s recent tariff decision, which is so obviously based on pure caprice, ought to have destroyed any such presumption.
#Trump is not even pretending to be making tariff decisions based on any sort of rational cost versus benefits analysis. He is making these decisions based on personal caprice. You really might have to go back to Caligula to find an analog for this kind of madness.
Don’t leave out “I was a Teenage Werewolf” (1957). 😵‍💫
He wore a more sober necktie in 1956, as Dr. Hill, in “Invasion of the Body Snatchers” (uncredited). His phone call to the FBI at the end of the film is the only reason I’m not a seed pod.
Well, I think that the reconstructed Notre Dame was about 95% the same as the original. Some 19th century stained-glass windows, instead of being restored, were replaced with new ones, I think.
In 1996, one of the greatest opera houses in the world, “La Fenice,” in #Venice, was destroyed by arson. It was reopened in 2004, after having been reconstructed “com’era dov’era,” that is, exactly as it had existed before the fire, down to the smallest detail.

So let it be with the #EastWing.

Vincent Price with his beloved dog Joe...
I’d be satisfied if we could just have a plane fly over it during a $1 million per-person pool party and dump feces on it.
It just occurred to me how hard it might be for a neurologist to diagnose senile dementia in a man who has spent his entire life in the bubble of an alternative reality.
Color-blind people have existed throughout history, and yet it wasn’t until 1798 that the phenomenon was identified. I think that #Trump has a yet-to-be identified condition that, instead of disabling him from distinguishing red from green, disables him from distinguishing true from false.

That hideous banquet hall, assuming it is ever built, will be demolished as part of the nation-wide de-Trumpification process that will begin on January 20, 2029.
The three major U.S. stock market indexes all closed at record highs today. Just as millions of people are about to lose the “food stamps” that they need in order to survive. This kind of disequilibrium is unsustainable. There will be a reckoning of accounts, sooner or later.
Those states should send bigger monitors to monitor the federal monitors.
I hope that Trump lives long enough to be placed on trial in a Colombian court on charges of murder.
As far as I know, no former U.S. President has ever been extradited to a foreign country to face trial on charges of murder. Maybe Trump will make history in this respect, after this country has recovered its sanity and Democrats have gained control. Hopefully this could happen in early 2029.

The U.S. has conducted 10 strikes on alleged drug-carrying boats, killing 43 people.

Remember: no judge or jury has found these boats were trafficking drugs. We're simply taking Trump's word for it.

He’s unilaterally acting as judge, jury, and executioner.

This is a danger to us all.
Why doesn’t Trump order that the Capitol be bulldozed? He has as much right to do that as he does to bulldoze the White House. The physical destruction of the Capitol building would at least have the virtue of reflecting the destruction of the legislative branch that Trump has already accomplished.
