In 2012 a gaming YouTuber did a ghost hunt at a lighthouse, speaking to a ghost for 90 minutes. I STARTED to make a video essay about it, only to find footage suggesting he was tricked.

Fair point but I'd argue the "it just works" nature of Tailscale combined with how many people watch content on laptops/phones means you can accommodate a wide swath of "I just want something that works" people by saying "install Tailscale. It take two minutes to set up."

A cute little seasonal drawing. I’m vending at a Bigfoot festival this weekend and needed some cryptid themed art for the occasion.
A vintage-style illustration of several cryptids dressed up for Halloween and trick-or-treating. There is Bigfoot as Frankenstein, a grey alien as a mummy, the Fresno nightcrawler as a witch, mothman as a vampire, and the Loch Ness monster as a bedsheet ghost.

During the Kino Lorber sale I gambled $10 on a movie I've never seen because, come on. It's got Joey Bologna. It's about a nuclear-powered bus.

It's basically just Supertrain but on a road.

I sincerely lost any respect I could have had for this guy with one foot out the door (he was going to teach a 400 class about Melville and then retire the next semester) when I learned he taught Beckett but the idea of discussing Beckett's Irishness as an IRISH writer working in ENGLAND was NEW.

Also he was full of shit, he claimed to be super into Samuel Beckett but when I proposed All That Fall is Beckett channeling his lived experiences of being Irish working for the BBC into this old woman he was like "Where did you read that idea? I've never seen it before."

He was also a bad professor who bloviate about topics multiple professors had covered at length at the 100 and 200 level, it was a waste of my time to sit in his class and listen to him re-explain reader response criticism.
