Guess you can't blame a team for asking but it says a lot about the NHL that "You know this rule, right? Can you let us, like, not follow the rule?" has any sort of legs as a legitimate inquiry

iMac reports Patrik Allvin asked the league for an exemption to the new AHL transaction rule on the Mancini move -- he has to stay in the minors for at least one game before being called back -- but the NHL and the PA met, then turned down the request
