Thinking more and more about how much certain actors are pushing us towards a post-truth, post-data world, a world driven purely by narratives and vibes

It's not good.
Pretty much concluded Macklin Celebrini is the greatest forechecker I've ever seen

If you want to know why Canada's jerseys are Nike and not Bauer at the Olympics and you didn't realize that this how it always is at IIHF tournaments this story is for you:

Why Canada is wearing Nike, not Bauer, at the 2026 Olympic Games hockey
Hockey Canada sells Bauer jerseys in Canada, but in Milan the jerseys are branded by Nike. What gives?

The super line sure was fun to watch Friday — but Jon Cooper isn’t 100 per cent it’s what he’ll stick with nationalpost.com/sports/olymp...
Why Jon Cooper isn't sure McDavid-MacKinnon-Celebrini super-line is the way at Olympics
Canada's men's hockey head coach loaded up his first line on Friday, but remains unconvinced keeping the trio together is the best thing for his team.

What follows is the funniest use of the slo-mo alternate angle tech I've seen them use during these Olympics of one of the crew members falling

It really is bullshit that the two most prominent people to face any accountability for Epstein have been women—Ghislaine Maxwell and Kathryn Ruemmler. What is it going to take for the powerful men who abused and trafficked kids to finally face justice?

Finns seem to be trying a new version of ‘does the coach even matter?’ nationalpost.com/sports/olymp...
Are Finland's hockey men winning at Olympics in spite of their coach?
A number of Finnish players wanted to replace Antti Pennanen with Paul Maurice, two-time Stanley Cup winning coach with the Florida Panthers.

Break-out game for Elias Pettersson.

Both goals a great display of his skill set: first the finish off the wing, a lightning shot that gave the Slovak goalie no chance, and now a smart read of the seam in the Slovak defence, burying the puck when he had his moment.

Have confirmed Kevin Fiala remains in hospital. Swiss say its a "lower leg injury." I think it's fair to think he broke his leg.

Anyway, Swiss have confirmed his Olympics are over.

Swiss Hockey Federation have confirmed Kevin Fiala suffered a serious "lower-leg" injury and will miss remainder of Olympics.

I'm told he's still in hospital. (It's fair to assume it's a broken leg.)

Denis Malgin and Andrea Glauser also both left the game last night and are considered day-to-day

Jon Cooper says Josh Morrissey will also miss Sunday’s game vs France but believes he’ll still be an option later this week in the knockout round.

Was just thinking Canada had been letting things get a little loose and then the Swiss hit the post.

Well, there's your captain getting things back balanced for Canada.

4-1 lead, 12 minutes to go, wrap this one up.
