As a 44 year old (who broke my ankle for the second time when I was 38), there is a combination of heat/cold/complex pillow arrangements/instagram physio exercises that works. However, I did neglect my shoulder exercises for a couple months and paid for it last week. Once you start you cannot stop.

Final trick-or-treater count is 23. Almost no littles. Weather tonight is terrible. Hoping some of them wear their costumes again to the pumpkin walk in the park tomorrow.

Update: we've had 6 kids. The last were 3 boys between 7-9 and the rudest trick or treaters we've ever had. They actually tried to come into the house when they saw Red Riding Hood approaching with the treats. Dad standing way back at the road doing nothing about it.

I will say that MP Zuberi stands out to me as having made efforts to keep anything that could be construed as antisemitism out of his criticism of Israel. I would be happy for Cdn media to listen to him more.

Canadian MP Sameer Zuberi has proposed measures to prevent IDF soldiers involved in war crimes from entering the country. But it's gotten almost zero news coverage. (I think the announcement was the same day as the whole Regan ad incident).

For the online stuff at least, this is what group chats sound like amongst middle school boys. Schools are also dealing with this crap. I know a Mom who found her 11 year-old's Minecraft chat and it was the same.

I volunteer a lot with kids. I never ask kids to bring in donations. Because I don't know which kids are food insecure. Instead, we we will go door to door, or organize a drop off location for donations. Many families still donate, but, the ones who can't can still participate without embarrassment.

You can buy a can of soup and drop it in a donation bin. OR, you can donate that money to the food bank, who through bulk purchase discounts and agreements with suppliers and manufacturers can get 5 cans for the same amount of money.
