As APP members meet with U.S. officials, does that open the door to foreign interference?

“Yeah, absolutely!” says Shaun Fluker, law professor at the U of C. He warns Elections Alberta lacks the resources to deal with foreign influence in a timely manner.

Dense development is not the enemy of green spaces in the city; it is a prerequisite for them. And vice versa.

Fly over Berlin with Google Earth, one of the densest and greenest cities in Europe.
WATCH: When @penalosag.bsky.social asked me a few years ago to join him in his YouTube series on parks & cities, I knew I wanted to talk about the common (and frustrating) false choice between more density and more integration of nature into cities. So we went deep into that. Give it a watch/share.

Nick Fuentes called Alex Pretti a “race traitor” for opposing ICE.

I argue that sentiment is actually widespread on the MAGA right.

After Alex Pretti’s Murder, it’s Clear That MAGA Media Views White Liberals as Race Traitors
MAGA is committed to the belief that the people ICE is pursuing are inherently bad and that therefore opposing ICE is standing with criminals and rapists against the American people.

I’ve written a lot about democracy, but this may be the most important post I’ve shared here. It’s about the moment when political rhetoric stops being careless and becomes dangerous — when leaders start calling their own people “enemies.”

That moment is now.
The Danger of Turning Americans into Enemies
In Minnesota, "Trump has redefined dissent not as a civic act, but as an enemy force," writes Andrew Weinstein.

To paraphrase Dave Barry, someone who is nice to you, but cruel to most of America, is not a nice person.

Narcissists tend to like superficially charming but awful people because the superficial charm satisfies their need for admiration.
Clarence Thomas is apparently one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet, and famously knows the name of every single employee at the Supreme Court, down to the night janitors. His character is still bad! Not sure what “Alito is a kind in interpersonal situations” has to do with this.
