It’s been kind of a whirlwind couple of weeks, and I can finally talk about one of the highlights: I got to review NHL 26 for IGN! If you’re on the fence about whether to buy this year’s game, check it out!

I’m really liking these retro style takes on the Minibots. I got Seaspray and he’s fantastic. Just waiting on a Beachcomber!

Rolled credits on RetroRealms: Halloween. Some cheap deaths had me frustrated at times, but the sprites are gorgeous and there’s a lot of great fan service. As a huge Michael Myers fan, this was a good time. Now on to RetroRealms: Ash vs. Evil Dead!

The manga adaptations of the Star Wars movies are the perfect example of a book I wouldn’t pay for, but will absolutely read because of the Marvel Unlimited app. Pretty sure these were pricey even back in the day, since each issue is like 80 pages, and only covers 1/4 of a movie. Really cool though.

I think the Ultimate thing is a decoy, FWIW.

I kind of assumed as much, but there was a time where Dark Horse adapted a lot of the Star Wars novels into comics. And Marvel has done adaptations of movies even recently. So I wasn’t sure how it all clicked together.

Star Wars fans: do Marvel’s High Republic comics adapt the events of the books, or are they new stories set in that part of the timeline? Can I just read the comics, or do I have to read the books to know what’s going on?

…why would you do this.

The fact that they’re flooding the zone and even having their personal mouthpiece Jake Tapper saying it really does show that they’re desperate to shift the narrative.

Would love to know what the numbers are for Analogue Pocket. I know it’s niche, but clearly those systems are selling.

That said, it all comes down to the couple. My wife and I have volunteered at events together and have worked very well. So we’d probably do well.

I did it in college and do not recommend.

I was a young teen when those issues were coming out (and far away from the first time I got to collaborate with an artist). I always loved the art, but I don’t think I truly appreciated just how incredible the amount of detail was until I was much older. The world just feels so real.

I just feel like Sega is generally pretty goth friendly.

It’s totally possible there’s a version I’m forgetting. Regardless, I’m a big fan of Clint’s mask, and I hate that it’s been gone since the first Avengers movie happened.

Hawkeye has a top 5 Marvel costume and if anyone at Marvel wants to let me pitch it, I will give you a story that explains why he ditched the costume and simultaneously gets him back into it.

Fingers crossed for you!!

To be fair, I didn’t play Canvas. I just really felt like Rainbow Curse was a chore to play. I adored the visuals, though. Looked gorgeous, but I also think that was a problem too since you’re always staring at the GamePad.

Comics are so cool. Does it make sense that Cap and Hawkeye still have their cowls on when they’re wearing underwater diving equipment? Who cares! Look at the little lights and the fish. George Perez was on a different level.

The thing about writing comics is that, no matter how good you are with the written word, you never know what to expect when the pages come in. All respect to Mr. Busiek (who is one of my favorite comic writers), but nothing could have prepared him for when that opening page came in. Perez, man.

The game, not the episode, to clarify!
