On Friday 18 April 2025, an emergency protest was organised in Manchester following the ruling of the UK Supreme Court on 16 April that the definition of ‘sex’ in the Equality Act 2010 refers to ‘biological sex’, meaning “the sex of a person at birth”.

There was only one local election in Greater Manchester this year, Balderstone and Kirkholt ward in Rochdale. Here are the results.

Recommend getting over to BBC Parliament to watch the SLAPPs debate, absolutely crucial that everyone and especially journalists aren't stopped from exposing truth and injustice just because the bad guys have more money.
