I don't know if I've said this on main but I work for the VA. We do more than most hospitals for less pay. And our employees for the most part rock. Kudos to this blogger.

Look, most VA employees aren't in it for the money, because generally speaking VA work pays less than the private sector. The VA attracts bighearted folks who want to give back, do something good, help their fellow
veterans/veterans in general. These people are not the enemy; they are not bloated staffing, redundancies, superfluous employees, or government waste. They are good people who are underfunded, underpaid, and underappreciated at the best of times.
