Also I think re: boothers at anime conventions aren't usually making *enough* of a profit for it to be a problem. IIRC Hoyo encourages fanworks to be sold at conventions, it just can't be mass produced (which most artist alley tables can't do anyway)

I had this convo with a friend about how hobbies are no longer hobbies anymore. Like I remember a friend who skateboarded because it was fun and got him out of the house. Gaming was largely offline and done on your own time. Art and music were fun! Bring back hobbies! Bring back being bored!

This was what the internet of old used to be like (y'know, the thing people keep wanting to go back to). Once I've checked through the blogs/forums I followed, I'll go and do something else; play games, watch TV, draw, take a walk. Being bored is a good skill to have.
