A woman named Katie runs after a bus driving past a bus stop. She is holding a work apron in her right hand, and is smacking the side of the bus with the palm of her other hand. She yells: "Wait, you stupid bus! Wait!!" Scene cuts to a traffic light as it turns red. Scene cuts back to the bus now idling with an audible "RRRRR". Out of view, Katie tries to catch her breath. The bus opens its doors with a loud "KSHHH". Katie walks into view towards the open doors and says in-between breaths with a proud expression: "Ha! Couldn't ditch me *that* easily, huh?"

Modders fret not however - SEGA's EULA still allows (broadly) the use of "creative" mods (items, character, stages, etc) - as long as you play by the rules online, you should be safe!

I'm still of the belief that the end goal of capitalism is for a single person to be able to say "give me literally everything you have in perpetuity for literally nothing in return".

Everything in-between including running some semblance of a business is merely an obstacle for them to overcome.

So now that it seems the Xbox brand might be failing for good, when do we finally acknowledge that "better graphics every 5-10 years until the end of time" is unsustainable?

Honestly though, the loss of social media wouldn't even be the worst thing in the world if we didn't also lose free/inexpensive third places over the past decade or so.

Nowhere to go online, but also very few places to go offline. So do you just rot away at home and work, or...?

I just want my comics out there regardless of where I post them, or if I even remain active. And I know my mutuals way too long by now to go MIA.

Best thing for me to do is ride things out and keep Mastodon ready if the rest of social media really does go south. (And maybe finally build a website)

To the surprise of no one, Bluesky is once again following the inevitable path for modern social media, and in just about a year after I joined.

I'm not planning on leaving like I did with Twitter as I don't want to lose all contact or lose all my work again. There's currently no real reason to.

Have you ever ridden Kingda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure where there's a near 90-degree incline to the top only for the coaster to turn and just hang there until you drop straight back down to Earth at breakneck speed?

Good characterization and storytelling is possible with only 4-8 panels at a time and limited space for lettering, but you gotta really try to make it work.

What you get from it, though, is a highly accessible and redistributable format that anyone can enjoy at their own pace.
