I wouldn't have even minded Amon being light skinned if they'd kept it consistent - they clearly designed his appearance before they actually wrote his backstory - but now it just comes across as a massive animation error, and it makes zero sense for him to be light skinned

I love how Legend of Korra's first season was SO rushed and on such a tight budget, they accidentally a) made Amon light skinned as an adult but dark skinned as a child and b) accidentally gave child Amon the same hairstyle as Korra

Like, the finished animation came back and they went "fuck..."

One thing I've been enjoying with the later chapters I've been writing of The Omen Knight is how unhinged Theoden gets, and he just straight up makes the stupidest most selfish decisions because he can't reconcile his emotions with his pride.

Let your characters be emotionally confused assholes.

I'd really appreciate if writers these days took a look at their characters doing therapyspeak and whether that's appropriate for their work and their world.

By "therapyspeak" I mean speaking like this: "This is the emotion I'm feeling, and feeling that emotion makes me want to act in a way"
