Right-wing influencers use terms like “trans terrorism”, “trantifa” and “LGBTQ terrorists” especially after violent news. My LGBTQ family is cast as a threat. Repeat a lie long enough and it numbs the general public, it primes people for violence. First they came for us, next they come for you. 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

•what's left of the Voting Rights Act
•all bans on LGBTQ conversion therapy for minors
•the last remaining pillar of McCain–Feingold's campaign finance reform

Gender affirming care providers follow an established standard of care that includes assessment, therapy, informed consent, and waiting periods before patients can receive medical intervention. The idea that people are being tricked into transitioning is absurd and does not happen in real life. /2
