Just picked up this painting from being photographed for prints! I feel so ahead of schedule, this is an amazing feeling. Normally, I update my shop every ~3 months. My art takes time. I’m getting better and faster without sacrificing all those details I love 🤩

After my paintings are digitized, I order a test print to ensure everything looks good. I noticed the canvas texture was more visible on the eyes, & you could see a spot where the paint was thicker. At first I thought I should edit that out, but then I realized it’s a mark of human-made art 🫶

It looks gorgeous!

You can enjoy this painting however you want! Maybe it makes you happy in a dark time. For me, this piece comes from a place of anger watching science being vilified and dismantled. Proposed budget cuts devastating planetary/astro research, anti-vaxxers threatening public health, and… (1/2)

Yo when I finish this painting I need to book a deep-tissue massage because my shoulder and back are rekt from my gremlin posture and twisting around all weird 😆. Might need to invest in a larger palette, but then it won’t fit in my freezer (how I like to preserve my oil paints)
