Finally the random area of sand in my yard, the “beach” if you will, comes in handy. I can make my own sandbags for the flooding Tucson may or may not receive this weekend!

Working 3 jobs during undergrad, terrible car accident 2nd semester of grad school, unable to walk, 2 surgeries, abusive relationship, and so much more. I was burnt out & exhausted. I joined socials in 2020 to do sci comm for fun, never expecting to be on this path. Healing one painting at a time 🫶

Social media isn’t my favorite and my job depending on it isn’t easy, but the only reason I was able to leave academia and transition to a full-time artist is because of social media.

I was able to leave academia and start an art business. Every single piece of art I’ve sold across the world is due to someone finding me on social media.

the painting & the palette 🐡🔭

My grey glass palette with pink/purple on the left and reds/oranges on the right. Behind the palette is the painting of Jupiter’s Great Red Spot I worked on. Now with a layer of oil paint on the ultraviolet & infrared rectangles.

If you’ve ever ordered a print from me, do you typically buy a frame from online/in store or take your art to a framer?

This canvas is an awkward size. I’m trying to settle on print sizes, but I don’t want to make framing too tricky for you! A large print with no border would be 14.9 x 30” lol 😵‍💫
