Instead of "the left isn't paying enough attention to these machine gods" they're claiming to build, perhaps we should write an article about how effective altruists brand themselves "left", ask who is writing these articles, and trace their cults and sources of funding.

My first exposure to the notion that two people could play the same character differently was Robert Duvall as Frank Burns in Robert Altman's M*A*S*H (which I watched way too often at too young an age). Duvall's smoldering Burns could not have been less like Larry Linville's sniveling TV version.

There is no drawdown. There is no retreat. ICE is just redistributing their assets to better avoid accountability.
The same day DHS announced the surge would end in Minnesota, ICE activity increased in small towns
The less densely populated areas outside the Twin Cities make it harder for protesters and observers to organize.

Measles is a bellwether. Because it’s the most contagious vaccine-preventable disease, when vaccination rates drop, it’s the first to start spreading.

Now we’ve got mumps rolling up.

Expect more.

This is just the beginning of RFK Jr.’s successful infectious disease reintroduction plan.

Whenever I problems nowadays, particularly for the runway of companies, for innovation, and progress, the underlying issue is always the cost to have a roof over your head.

When you read books about 70s to 90s innovation, the reason they’re even able to try something is because housing was so cheap
if you asked me to diagnose the western game industry's current problem it would start with "landlords have absorbed basically all disposable income"
