Oedipus Rex is what I thought of first.

My ears still hurt from the Mighty Mighty Bosstones concert I went to when I was in college.

My Banned Books Week plan is to make sure I've read all of these. As an ELA Instructional Coach, I'm seeing that I'm in a position to speak out against challenges if they occur in my district. We haven't had any major challenges, but teachers have concerns.

I just followed her! I love it!!! I may need to order her books.
mnkraft.bsky.social
I did not know that! That sounds so cool. I'd love to see her work!

I was going to stop in today, but I'm trying not to spend money, and I already have too much yarn. Her yarn looks gorgeous!

This is a good reminder. I should probably sit with my journal and see what happens. I'm sure I'll feel better.

I'm going to come back to it every time impostor syndrome attacks me (like right now).

I'm noticing that I get it when I have a really good day. Instead of enjoying it, I second-guess everything and convince myself I'm a fraud. Why am I like this?

Agree 100%. I'd say more, but I don't want to give away the lie.

Thank you! You're one of the teachers I admire most!

Every group of students is different, which definitely contributes to self-doubt. The best version of you and your classroom for this group of students may look nothing like what students have needed in the past.

Imposter syndrome was telling me that I shouldn't be struggling because of all the experience I had, but the reality is that every group of students is different, so what I was going through was completely normal.

Yes! I keep telling myself it's keeping me from being an insufferable know it all.

To piggyback off of what @naemmanuele.bsky.social wrote, I'm fully aware of what I don't know and am receptive to feedback because I want to learn.

A lot of what happened during year 25 was a shock.

I'm struggling with it even more as an Instructional Coach even though I had 25 years in the classroom. I keep telling myself that they wouldn't have given me the job if I was a horrible teacher, but it doesn't keep the thoughts away.

I envy people who can tuck in their shirts. I have an extremely short torso, so I look quite odd if I try to tuck in a shirt. I can do it with some skirts because it looks like an empire waist.
