The Renters Rights Bill has finished going through the House of Lords and will soon become law - great news that renters will now get the basic protections they desperately need

But it barely does a thing on affordability, so now time to tackle that by bringing in rent controls

The British government has now evacuated from Gaza almost 60 scholars with fully funded university places and more are expected soon, but others have been forced to abandon their plans in order to remain with their families. Saleh Al-Ja'afrawi, one of the last remaining Palestinian journalists in Gaza, was murdered by Israeli-affiliated gangs in Gaza city today. In a conflict that regularly dehumanized not only Palestinians at large but esp Palestinian men, Al-Ja'afrawi represented the best of humanity. rip💔🕊️
