we are already way behind the curve with solar energy. china will dominate the industry for decades as they have (wisely) been investing billions (490 in 2024) every year. something hopeful would be canada doing the same. instead, carney is offering up pipelines to fascists.

that may be the problem. progressives voted for the "values" carney, and we got the goldman sachs carney. there is a massive difference between the two. i'm starting to believe his book was entirely bullshit to get to the position he is in.

And it's almost like what we're experiencing with capitalism requiring fascism to continue its consolidation of wealth in the face of breakdown is something we've seen over and over again and that the wealthy's insistence on repeating patterns has brought us to the brink again.

I don’t know, maybe not a good thing that consumer spending is being completely driven by a billionaire class, jobs are being shed at breakneck speed, and the entire economy is resting on a historically large and precarious bubble.

It’s almost like capitalism is inherently self-destructive.

To Carney, "Elbows up" means buying American jets, building a pipeline to sell our oil to the US, joining a US missile defence system, opening our markets to more American dairy, and kissing the American president's ass at every opportunity.

haven't been there since the pedo fascist was elected the first time. sure as hell won't be returning again, ever. it's not just the fascist regime and the fascist police. the electorate as a whole can't be trusted. even if the fascists are somehow defeated, there are still millions who support it.

My first thought was “wow I hope this guy didn’t give out his name because he could absolutely be charged” and yup, he is correct to stay anonymous.

This man’s account is shocking. His neighbors’ situation is shocking. The entire Chicago raid is shocking.

On the other side was a mom and her 7-year-old daughter, pleading for his help.
"I wasn't planning on letting her stay, but I didn't know what the hell was going on," the man said of his Venezuelan migrant neighbors. But he quickly relented. The little girl was inconsolable and hid under his bed.
"I didn't want them to take her," said the man, who didn't want to be named because he fears he'll be targeted by federal authorities for his actions.
"I gave her my bedroom, and I just told her,
'Just stay there. Don't open, don't, shh, just stay quiet," he recalled telling the mom and daughter as he choked back tears.

on a positive note. the staff at the regina hospital are amazing. courteous, helpful, caring, and professional. they deserve the equipment, space, and fair compensation to do their jobs.

it's not just saskatoon. i have recently been to both moose jaw and regina hospitals accompanying my elderly mother. i was shocked at how many people are just crammed into hallways with zero privacy and dignity. it's appalling. the saskparty has been ruining this province for 18 years.
