Den Kommentar verstehe ich nicht. Inwiefern der Passus von @nnwiss.bsky.social der die Risiko-Aussage mit einer ausgerechnet-von-dieser-Sorte-Person-Aussage verknüpft angemessen war ist doch von Anfang an Thema dieses Teilthreads der Diskussion gewesen? In den Sie sich dann einklinkten?

Das hängt dann von der oder dem Abgeordneten ab. In Brannekämpers Fall ist es wohl das eigene Familienunternehmen als Backup. Aber das wäre bei Wissenschaftler*innen mit entsprechendem Background natürlich ähnlich. Und war auch nicht das ursprüngliche Argument im Eingangspost.

And there it is, a new quality in the Nazi regime's suppression of its enemies o perceived enemies: policemen who are being given free hand, given to understand they will not be prosecuted if they are "over-eager," which is a pretty drastic euphemism for killing innocent people, 13/

Basically, Göring is saying: the police should not interfere in any way with the regime's private troops. At this time, there are numerous instances where these private troops, notably SA or SS, are attacking "political undesirables." The police is not to interfere.

EXCLUSIVE — DHS Acting General Counsel sent out a memo Wednesday to all Federal Protective Service staff (the sub-agency that guards federal buildings) letting officers know they could take any action necessary "in the vicinity" federal property to protect themselves.

Ich finde spannend, inwiefern solche arbeitsökonomischen/pragmatischen Gründe hineinspielen bei den Theorien darüber, wie Wissenschaft funktioniert. Ist in der Praxis ja ein wichtiger Teil. Selbst für eine*n idealisierte*n Wissenschaftler*in ist Zeit eine knappe Ressource.

Gibt es bei Merton Aussagen dazu, wie der/die idealisierte Wissenschaftler*in mit den Zuschriften des pensionierten Elektroingenieurs aus Wanne-Eickel verfahren soll, der behauptet, das Forschungsfeld ganz alleine revolutioniert zu haben?

But let’s not delude ourselves: Machado is aligned with the global right wing network.

It’s impossible to believe that the Nobel committee wasn’t aware of all this. Which just leaves one conclusion.
